Lemon and Honey Drink

Very quick, simple, healthy, and tasty! Lemon and Honey Drink refreshes on a hot summer day or warms in winter. Easy to make and rich in vitamins.

Preparation
Step 1
Boil water in advance. Let it cool to 158-176°F (70-80°C) - still hot, but not scalding.
Step 2
Wash lemons thoroughly under warm running water using a stiff brush and food-safe detergent. Lemons are often coated with wax to preserve them. Slice clean lemons into rounds.
Step 3
Place lemon slices in a suitable container (glass or ceramic is best, avoid metal). Pour prepared hot water over the lemons. Let cool to about 86°F (30°C), slightly warm.
Step 4
Add honey. Use liquid honey for easy mixing. If crystallized, melt it in a water bath. Stir well. For a cold drink, refrigerate for a few hours. For a hot drink, add honey immediately after pouring water.
Step 5
Optionally, add mint leaves for extra freshness or lime slices for a tropical note. Add ice cubes if serving cold.
