Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
How do you make lentil cutlets? Rinse the lentils, let the water drain off, and cover them with room-temperature water for at least 10 hours. There should be enough water to cover the lentils completely. The room where the lentils are soaking should be warm. During this time, the lentils will increase significantly in volume.
Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse it, chop it finely, and fry it in a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil until golden. Let it cool, then add it to the lentils and mix.
Step 3
Grind the lentils with the onion using a meat grinder or blender. I blended them in two batches. If the mixture turns out too thick, add a little boiled water at room temperature.
Step 4
Add the semolina to the mince, salt it, and mix.
Step 5
Shape the cutlets. By the way, they hold their shape very well. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, it is best to use a nonstick pan, heat it, and fry the cutlets for 5 minutes on one side. Turn them over, cover with a lid, and fry for 5 minutes on the other side under the lid. The lean lentil cutlets are ready. Enjoy your meal!
