Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. If using large eggs, follow the amount stated in the ingredient list. If the eggs are small, use 5. The chicken can be replaced with another meat, sausage or ham. Use peanuts or substitute walnuts.
Step 2
Rinse and dry the chicken fillet, then cut it into small cubes.
Step 3
Season the chicken with the spices and leave it to marinate for 20 minutes. Instead of frying it, you can boil the fillet or bake it wrapped in foil. Smoked chicken fillet can also be used.
Step 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring, until done. The exact time will depend on the size of the pieces. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and leave it to cool.
Step 5
Hard-boil the eggs, cool and peel them. Coarsely grate the eggs.
Step 6
Coarsely grate the cheese. Use any flavorful hard or semi-hard cheese made without vegetable-fat substitutes.
Step 7
Rinse and dry the grapes. Cut each grape in half and remove any seeds. You can use grapes of any color.
Step 8
Prepare the dressing ingredients. Use thick sour cream that is not watery and choose mayonnaise according to taste. You can use the mixture described in the recipe or replace it entirely with sour cream, mayonnaise or plain yogurt.
Step 9
Finely chop the peanuts with a knife or pulse them in a blender to make medium-sized crumbs. The peanuts can be raw or roasted.
Step 10
Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream and chopped peanuts.
Step 11
Arrange the salad ingredients on a serving dish in a rounded mound. Begin with half of the chicken and spread some of the dressing over it.
Step 12
Add half of the grated eggs and spread with more dressing.
Step 13
Add half of the grated cheese and spread it with dressing. Repeat the chicken, egg and cheese layers once more, adding dressing between them.
Step 14
Spread the remaining dressing over the final cheese layer, covering the entire surface.
Step 15
Cover the salad with the grape halves. Refrigerate for about 5 hours or longer to allow the layers to set and the flavors to develop.
Step 16
Before serving, sprinkle the salad with chopped roasted peanuts.
