Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any minced meat or chicken. I used mixed minced meat. Instead of a whole egg, you may use just the yolk. Take butter out of the fridge in advance so it softens.
Step 2
Wash and finely dice the peeled onion.
Step 3
Add the prepared onion, salt, and ground black pepper to the minced meat. Mix well. Add any spices to taste if desired.
Step 4
Cut the lavash sheet lengthwise into strips. Mine was 30 cm wide, so I cut it into 3 strips.
Step 5
Brush the strip of lavash on top with softened butter. Keep the rest of the lavash in a bag so it doesn’t dry out; otherwise, it will break while folding.
Step 6
Place a portion of minced meat on the corner of the lavash strip.
Step 7
Begin folding the lavash into a triangle shape.
Step 8
Continue folding the strip into a triangle until you reach the end, forming a pocket.
Step 9
Tuck the edge of the strip inside so the pocket doesn’t unfold.
Step 10
Repeat the process with all the lavash strips. Place the formed pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Brush the tops with beaten egg or yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 11
Bake the lavash samsa in a preheated oven at 180°C / 355°F for about 25 minutes until lightly golden. Adjust baking time and temperature depending on your oven.
Step 12
Serve the lavash samsa with minced meat warm. Enjoy!
