Advice
You can replace chicken with turkey or any other type of meat. However, keep in mind that cooking time and calorie content will change. For dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise but also sour cream or natural yogurt. You can use them separately or mix them with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste to reduce the dish’s calorie content.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients from the list. Instead of Armenian lavash, you can also use a wheat tortilla. To prevent lavash from drying out, take it out only at the end before assembling the wrap.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce sit for a while.
Step 3
Prepare the other ingredients. You can use any chicken parts you like. I used chicken breast fillet. Choose cheese based on your preference—mozzarella, sulguni, or feta can be good alternatives.
Step 4
Wash the chicken fillet, cut it lengthwise into three pieces, and place it in a bowl. Add soy sauce, vegetable oil, and spices, then mix well. Let it marinate for 20-30 minutes.
Step 5
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken pieces on both sides until golden brown and fully cooked.
Step 6
Cut the cooked chicken into small pieces.
Step 7
While the chicken is cooking, wash and slice the tomato into thin slices.
Step 8
Cut the cucumber into thin strips.
Step 9
Grate the cheese using a coarse grater. You can use any cheese—hard or semi-hard, as long as it is high-quality and melts well. I used Gouda cheese.
Step 10
If needed, trim the lavash with a knife or scissors to make even rectangles or squares. Spread a portion of the garlic sauce over the lavash. Add the chopped cooked chicken on top of the sauce.
Step 11
Evenly distribute the sliced tomatoes and cucumbers.
Step 12
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 13
Fold the edges and roll the lavash tightly into a wrap. Repeat the same for the second roll.
Step 14
If desired, toast the lavash wrap in a dry pan or on a grill on both sides until lightly crispy. Serve warm. Enjoy your meal!
