Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
You can use pork from any part (ham, tenderloin, loin, etc.). I used ham and trimmed off the excess fat. Rice vinegar can be replaced with regular 6-9% table vinegar. Sesame oil can be substituted with any other oil. Chili can be replaced with paprika.
Step 2
Wash the pork, pat dry. Cut the meat into thin slices and lightly pound with a meat mallet, keeping the pieces intact.
Step 3
Slice the pieces into thin strips.
Step 4
Peel and finely chop the garlic, or press it. You can substitute fresh garlic with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
Step 5
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, coriander, sugar, and chili. Mix thoroughly. If using teriyaki sauce instead of soy, do not add sugar - teriyaki already contains it.
Step 6
Place the pork in a bowl, sprinkle with chopped garlic, and pour in the soy sauce mixture with spices.
Step 7
Sprinkle with starch and mix well.
Step 8
Leave the meat to marinate for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. Even better, marinate it overnight in the refrigerator.
Step 9
Heat a frying pan over high heat. Add the meat together with the marinade and stir-fry quickly until cooked, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 10
Serve Korean-Style Pork with a side of fluffy boiled rice. If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy!
