Kefir Yeast Hand Pies with Apricots

Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients for making delicious yeast hand pies with apricot filling.

Pour 250 milliliters of room-temperature kefir, about 1 cup, into a measuring jug and add 70 grams of sugar, about 1/3 cup.
Step 3
Add 8 grams of instant dry yeast to the jug, about 2 1/2 teaspoons.
Step 4
Add 2 heaping tablespoons of flour to the jug.
Step 5
Mix all the ingredients in the jug and set it aside for 10-15 minutes so the yeast can activate.
Step 6
Crack 1 egg into a deep bowl.
Step 7
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar to the bowl.

Add 40 grams of softened butter to the bowl, about 3 tablespoons.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well until smooth.

After the time has passed, pour the activated yeast mixture into the bowl with the egg mixture and stir everything until smooth.

Add 450 grams of flour to a deep bowl, about 3 2/3 cups, and 10 grams of baking powder, about 2 teaspoons.
