Preparation
Step 1
How to make juicy, tender turkey in a skillet? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I use turkey thigh fillet, but you can cook other parts the same way. If the meat is frozen, thaw it in advance. Use a medium onion. For spices, you can add a bay leaf, allspice, or any favorites.
Step 2
Rinse the turkey under cold running water and pat it dry. Cut into small pieces.
Step 3
Heat a skillet over high heat, pour in vegetable oil, and add the chopped meat. Sear on all sides over high heat until the color changes.
Step 4
Peel the onion and slice into half-rings. Add the onion to the browned meat. Add salt and pepper and mix well. Cook over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, uncovered, stirring constantly.
Step 5
The finished meat will be tender; the onion will keep its shape and release its juices into the meat. If you want the meat to pull apart into fibers (but then the onion will turn into a sauce), cover the skillet and cook for about 30 more minutes, stirring from time to time.
Step 6
Arrange the juicy turkey fillet on plates and serve hot. Many sides work well: rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or vegetables. Enjoy!
