Preparation
Step 1
How do you make oven-baked chicken breasts tasty and juicy? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Use sour cream of any fat content, depending on how rich you want the dish to be.
Step 2
Put the sour cream in a bowl of a suitable size, add salt, ground paprika, and basil. Mix well. You can also use other spices to taste. For a more piquant or slightly spicy flavor, add dried garlic, ground black pepper, or a ready-made chicken seasoning mix. If the mix already contains salt, keep that in mind so the dish doesn’t turn out too salty.
Step 3
Generously coat the chicken breasts on all sides with the sour-cream marinade. Place the fillets in a container and cover with plastic wrap. Let the breasts marinate for 1 hour. You can shorten the marinating time to 30-40 minutes, but the longer the meat marinates, the more intense the flavor will be.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Arrange the marinated chicken breasts in it.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 40-45 minutes. If the breasts start browning too early, cover the dish with a layer of foil. Cooking time may differ from what’s stated, depending on your oven, so adjust the temperature as needed-it may be different for your oven.
Step 6
Serve the baked chicken breasts with any side dish or with fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
