Juicy and Tender Oven-Baked Salmon
Tender, appetizing, wholesome, and perfect for the whole family. Salmon baked in the oven according to this recipe turns out very juicy and soft thanks to an original aromatic marinade with lemon juice. Baking in the oven helps preserve as many valuable nutrients in the fish as possible.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake salmon in the oven? Prepare the ingredients. Pay special attention to the choice of fish. Chilled salmon is, of course, the priority. Frozen fish contains far fewer valuable nutrients. It is also important to know how to thaw fish properly: after taking it out of the freezer, place it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours and only then let it thaw completely at room temperature.
Step 2
Wash the fish well and pat it dry. I used a salmon steak, but it can also be just a fish fillet.
Step 3
Pour soy sauce over the fish. Pay special attention to choosing the soy sauce. There are many cheap imitations of this product in stores now. Choose naturally brewed soy sauce. It is even better if it is a soy sauce recommended specifically for marinades.
Step 4
We only need the juice from the lemon, so you can also use ready-made bottled lemon juice. If you squeeze the juice directly from the lemon, first wash it with very hot water, this way the lemon will give more juice. Pour the juice over the fish, using a small sieve so that no seeds fall onto it.
Step 5
Pour vegetable oil over the fish. It can be any vegetable oil you like. I used sesame oil, it is ideal for marinades. At this stage, you can also add your favorite herbs or seasonings to the fish: ground allspice, oregano, or garlic powder. In my opinion, such a noble fish as salmon does not need many seasonings.
Step 6
Leave the fish to marinate for 20-30 minutes. As for salt, I did not salt the fish, because the soy sauce is already salty enough. But here too, follow your own taste.
Step 7
Place the fish in an ovenproof dish. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes. Adjust according to the size of your fish. For a more delicate texture, I recommend covering the top of the dish with foil.
Step 8
The tasty and tender salmon is ready. Serve it hot. Fresh or roasted vegetables make an excellent side dish. Enjoy your meal!
