Japanese Tonkatsu – Breaded Pork Cutlet
A pork cutlet that is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tonkatsu is a breaded pork cutlet fried in deep oil or in a pan with plenty of oil. The cutlet turns out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is easy and quick to make.

Preparation
Step 1
Pound the pork on both sides.
Step 2
Season with salt and pepper, then coat in flour.
Step 3
Then dip in egg and after that in breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a frying pan. You can check whether it is hot enough by dropping in a piece of breadcrumb; if it sizzles on the surface, you can start frying. Place the pork cutlets in the pan and fry for 2 minutes on one side, then 2 minutes on the other side over high heat. Turn the cutlets over, reduce the heat to low, and fry for 1-2 more minutes on each side.
Step 5
Place the cooked cutlets on a paper towel so the excess fat can be absorbed. Cut into strips and serve with any side dish.
