Hot Mustard from Mustard Powder
Bold, pungent and easy to prepare, this homemade mustard is made from mustard powder with sugar and salt. Serve it with meat, fish, sausages, cold cuts or sandwiches.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. The amount of water may vary depending on the desired consistency. Adjust the sugar to taste. Choose good-quality mustard powder that is still fresh. If desired, you can also use a little vegetable oil or vinegar.

Place the mustard powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.

Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly with a spoon.
Step 4
Gradually pour in boiling water, stirring continuously and checking the consistency as you go.
Step 5
Mix until completely smooth. The mustard should have the consistency of thick sour cream.
Step 6
Transfer the mustard to a clean jar, allow it to cool, cover with a lid and refrigerate overnight. The next day, serve it with bread, meat, sausages or other dishes.
