Preparation
Step 1
How do you make homemade dressing for Greek salad? First prepare the ingredients for the dressing, and only then the salad itself, so that all that is left is to dress it and serve it right away. Wash the lemon and cut it in half crosswise. Take 1 half, remove the seeds, and squeeze out the lemon juice in any way you like. You can do it by hand or with a fork, but the easiest way is to use a citrus juicer.
Step 2
Now peel the garlic. Crush the garlic cloves through a press. If you plan to eat the salad right away, mix the dressing in a small bowl. But if you want to prepare only the dressing and make the salad later, you can use a small jar with a lid, placing the crushed garlic, or rather the garlic paste, in the bottom.
Step 3
Then add a little salt, a pinch of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of oregano. Adjust the amount of spices to your taste.
Step 4
Now pour the previously squeezed lemon juice into the bowl or jar.
Step 5
Next pour the olive oil over the spices and lemon juice. Instead of olive oil, you can use any vegetable oil to your taste. Mix all the dressing ingredients thoroughly with a fork. If you are mixing the dressing in a jar, close it with a lid and shake it several times so that the ingredients distribute evenly.
Step 6
The Greek salad dressing is ready. Dress the salad with it and serve. If you made it in a jar and are not planning to dress the salad right away, close the jar with the lid and place it in the refrigerator. Enjoy your meal!
