Homemade Bread in a Multicooker

Very simple, budget-friendly, from common ingredients! Homemade bread in a multicooker turns out great even for beginners. The main effort is kneading the dough, the rest is done by the appliance. The bread won’t burn, collapse, and will bake evenly. Fluffy, golden, and delicious!

Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
The flour amount is given only for the initial kneading; you’ll add more if needed. Boil water and cool to 98-100°F (37-38°C). Any vegetable oil will work. I use instant yeast (it can be mixed right into the dough). If you use fresh or active dry yeast, activate them first with 1 tbsp warm water from the total water amount.
Step 2
Take a large bowl and sift in 3 2/3 cups (450 g) flour. This removes debris and aerates it, making bread lighter. Add salt, sugar, and dry yeast. Mix to distribute evenly. You may need slightly more or less flour depending on the brand.
Step 3
Pour in the vegetable oil.
Step 4
Then add the warm water. Temperature is important for yeast activation - they need warmth, not hot water, otherwise they’ll die. Start mixing with a spoon.
Step 5
Grease your hands with a drop of oil and continue kneading by hand. You can knead on the table or in the bowl. Add flour gradually if needed, about 1/3 cup (50 g) extra. The dough should become smooth, soft, elastic, and stop sticking. Shape into a ball.
Step 6
Grease the multicooker bowl with a drop of oil. Dust the bottom and sides with flour. Place the dough ball inside.
Step 7
Cover with a towel and leave to rise for 1-1.5 hours. To speed up, place the bowl into a larger one filled with warm water. Important: the dough must rise in a warm place without drafts!
Step 8
The dough should increase 2-3 times in size. Once ready, place the bowl into the multicooker and close the lid.
Step 9
Set the program for baking (mine is called “Bake,” yours may differ). Time: 1 hour (65 minutes for me). If temperature can be set, choose 320°F (160°C). Adjust depending on your model.
Step 10
When the program ends, remove the bread using a steaming basket or a plate. Flip the loaf over (browned side up) and return it to the bowl. Close the lid and bake another 20 minutes. Remove when done and let it cool.
Step 11
The bread is delicious warm. Serve at the table. Enjoy!
