Preparation
Step 1
How to make the tastiest, most fragrant burger on a grill or charcoal brazier? First, prepare everything you need. Buy burger buns at the store.
Step 2
Since burgers cook in just a few minutes, I recommend prepping the vegetables and cheese ahead of time. Rinse the tomatoes and lettuce leaves and pat dry with paper towels. Peel the onion and slice into thin half-rings or rings. Slice the tomatoes and pickled cucumbers into not-too-thick rounds.
Step 3
I used ready-made frozen burger patties, but you can make them yourself. Use ground beef or a mixed ground meat blend. Add your favorite spices, a little salt, and very finely chopped onion if you like. Shape flat, round patties.
Step 4
Light the fire in the charcoal brazier. Wait until it burns down and you have good hot coals.
Step 5
While the fire is burning, cut the burger buns in half.
Step 6
Place the patties on a clean grill grate that has been lightly brushed with vegetable oil.
Step 7
How long to grill burgers? It depends on the heat and the thickness of the patties. Grill until cooked through.
Step 8
Flip the patties and make sure they don’t burn. Important: if you overcook patties over coals, they’ll turn dry.
Step 9
Place the buns on the grate and leave them for just a few seconds. You can flip them and toast the other side too.
Step 10
Now it’s time to assemble the burgers. Kids often love helping, filling burgers with their favorite toppings and sauces.
Step 11
Spread a small amount of mayonnaise on the bottom bun. Add a lettuce leaf, then the patty, cheese, onion, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Spread a little ketchup on the top bun and close the burger.
Step 12
You can use only ketchup, and place the lettuce leaf, for example, on top of the cheese. The order of toppings can be anything you like.
Step 13
If you want the cheese to melt slightly, flip the cooked patty, place the cheese on it right away, and leave it over the coals for a few seconds. On the hot patty, the cheese will melt a bit, making the burger taste even more interesting.
Step 14
Serve while the patty is hot. Very fragrant and delicious!
