Advice
How to easily peel tomatoes? Wash them, make cross-shaped cuts on top with a sharp knife, and place them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Remove, cool slightly, and peel the skin off.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. If using frozen green beans, do not thaw them. You can use only carrots and onions, or add other vegetables to your liking. Besides bell pepper, feel free to use your favorite spices. Wash and pat dry all vegetables.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the onion into small cubes or thin strips, depending on your preference.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
Step 4
Grate the carrot using a coarse grater.
Step 5
Chop the tomatoes into small pieces. You can peel them first using the boiling water method. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can use tomato paste or ketchup.
Step 6
Cut off the stem of the bell pepper, remove the seeds and inner core, and slice it into thin strips. If using fresh green beans, cut them into 5 cm (2-inch) pieces.
Step 7
Heat a pan over low heat, pour in some cooking oil, and add the onion and garlic. Sauté, stirring, until they become translucent. Then, add the grated carrot and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Step 8
Add the green beans to the pan. If using frozen beans, add them directly without thawing. For fresh beans, pour in 50 ml (¼ cup) of water. Cover the pan, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step 9
Add the chopped tomatoes and bell pepper. Season with salt and pepper, mix well, and cover. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until all vegetables are tender.
Step 10
Serve the sautéed vegetables with green beans warm. Enjoy your meal!
