Ginger-Lemon Drink for Weight Loss

Fragrant and delicious – perfect for energy and a good mood! This ginger-lemon drink for weight loss is very easy to make: just pour boiling water over the ingredients in a thermos. During infusion, the ginger and lemon release all their flavors and health benefits. Can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Preparation
Step 1
Use filtered or bottled water – tap water might give the drink an unpleasant taste due to chlorine and impurities. I used lime instead of lemon. Choose natural, high-quality honey.

Wash and dry the ginger root. Peel off the skin with a knife and chop the flesh into small pieces.
Step 3
Wash the lime (or lemon) thoroughly with baking soda and a brush to remove any wax coating. Cut it into small pieces as well.
Step 4
Place the chopped ginger and lime into a thermos of suitable size. Boil water and pour it into the thermos over the ingredients. Close the lid and let the drink steep for about 40 minutes. For added health benefits, you can first pour boiling water only over the ginger, and when the water cools down to a warm (but not hot) temperature, add the lime or lemon juice.
Step 5
Strain the drink through a sieve.

Add honey to taste and stir until fully dissolved. If you're concerned about hot water affecting the honey’s properties, allow the drink to cool slightly before adding it.
Step 7
Serve the drink. It’s also helpful hot at the first signs of a cold. For weight loss (as ginger boosts metabolism), drink it between meals in small sips. Enjoy!
