Easy
About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Take any kind of white bread - wheat loaf, baguette, or toast bread. I used enough to fill one baking sheet. You can adjust the amount as needed.
Step 2
Cut the bread into any shape you like. I made small cubes. If using pre-sliced square bread, cut it into strips, then into cubes. You can also make rectangular sticks or irregular shapes.
Step 3
Place the cut bread pieces on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) until golden brown. Baking time depends on your oven and cube size; mine took about 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them - they can burn quickly.
Step 4
While the croutons are baking, prepare the dressing. Pour oil into a small bowl. Peel the garlic and press it into the oil using a garlic press. Adjust the amount of oil and garlic to your taste. Mix well. I used olive oil, but any vegetable oil will work.
Step 5
Remove the ready croutons from the oven.
Step 6
Transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic oil over the hot croutons and mix quickly so the flavor absorbs evenly. Add salt to taste and mix again. The croutons are ready - serve and enjoy!
