Preparation
Step 1
How to make fresh dill for winter in jars? All you need is fresh dill. During the season, I always grow enough dill to prepare it for winter. Use dill that is still young and not yet flowering. Once it starts to flower, dill becomes tougher. But don’t use very immature, weak greens either.
Step 2
To prepare fresh dill in jars, pick the needed amount of young dill and prepare the jars. I prefer using small jars so that the whole portion can be used once opened. Wash the jars thoroughly and dry them completely.
Step 3
Rinse the dill, pat dry with paper towels, and leave it until fully dry. Not a drop of water should remain on the dill.
Step 4
Cut off the stems of the dill.
Step 5
Pack the dill into the jars and seal tightly with lids.
Step 6
Store all the filled jars in the refrigerator.
Step 7
When needed, it’s very convenient to open a jar of fresh dill, chop it, and immediately add it to any dish - for example, a salad! Enjoy!
