Preparation
Step 1
How to cook fluffy wheat porridge on water in a pot? Very simple! First, prepare the ingredients from the list.
Step 2
Sort the wheat groats and rinse thoroughly until the water is clear. You can also cook the porridge in milk instead of water.
Step 3
Place the rinsed wheat groats in a pot. Pour in cold drinking water.
Step 4
Place the pot on medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce to low-medium heat (I use 2-3 out of 9) and cook, removing foam, for about 20 minutes.
Step 5
When the foam stops forming, add salt and stir. Cook the porridge with the lid slightly open until done. Any remaining water will be absorbed into the grains later.
Step 6
Remove the pot from the heat. Cover it with a towel and then place the lid on top. This absorbs excess moisture and makes the porridge fluffy. Leave for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the cooked wheat porridge on plates with a piece of butter in each. Optionally, add fruits or berries. Enjoy!
