About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can add or replace vegetables as you like. You can also add other seafood such as boiled shrimp, squid, or mussels.
Step 2
Remove the packaging film from the crab sticks and cut them into small cubes. The salad looks neat and attractive if all ingredients are cut into equal-sized pieces (e.g., cubes).
Step 3
Boil eggs hard (about 10 minutes), cool, and peel. Cut into small cubes.
Step 4
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese will work for this salad, from standard hard cheese to mozzarella - the key is good taste.
Step 5
Wash and dry the cucumber. Cut into small cubes. If the peel is tender, undamaged, and not bitter, do not remove it.
Step 6
Wash parsley, shake off excess water, and finely chop. You may replace or add other herbs, such as dill, cilantro, green onions, or a mix.
Step 7
In a bowl, combine crab sticks, eggs, cucumbers, cheese, and herbs.
Step 8
Dress the salad with mayonnaise and mix well. Optionally season with salt and pepper, though mayonnaise salads usually don’t need it.
Step 9
Place a cooking ring (Ø 5.5-6.3 in / 14-16 cm) on a plate, fill it with the salad, and press lightly. If you don’t want to shape it, just serve in a salad bowl. Chill for 15 minutes.
Step 10
Before serving, remove the ring. Garnish the salad with crab sticks and fresh herbs, then serve. Enjoy!
