Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Defrost the crab sticks in advance if they were frozen. Drain the liquid from the canned corn. I made half a portion using a 14 cm (5.5 in) ring mold.
Step 2
Remove the crab sticks from the packaging. Sometimes the film around each stick is hard to peel off - hold them over steam for 1-3 seconds to make it easier. Dice the peeled sticks.
Step 3
Wash the tomatoes and also dice them. Drain any juice released during cutting to avoid soaking the other ingredients.
Step 4
Grate the cheese using a fine grater. Choose a flavorful cheese - hard or semi-hard - without palm oil or milk fat substitutes.
Step 5
Prepare the dressing. Press the garlic through a garlic press.
Step 6
Mix the garlic with mayonnaise thoroughly. Homemade mayonnaise is best—healthier and tastier.
Step 7
Place a food ring mold on a serving plate and layer the ingredients, spreading 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise over each layer: tomatoes → crab sticks → corn → cheese.
Step 8
Refrigerate the salad for 1 hour to let it set.
Step 9
Before serving, top with croutons and remove the ring. Use white bread croutons with any suitable flavor. You can also make them yourself at home.
Step 10
Garnish the salad with fresh herbs and serve. Enjoy!
