Coconut Milk Panna Cotta

Beautiful and tasty, with fresh fruits - perfect for any celebration! Coconut milk panna cotta is an incredibly delicious treat that’s easy and enjoyable to make. The delicate sweet jelly is balanced by a red orange sauce. The dessert is appetizing, vibrant, and very pretty.

Preparation
Step 1
I use coconut milk, but you can also make it with regular milk, oat, rice milk, etc. Or replace milk with richer cream 10-33%, but note this will change the dessert’s calorie content.
Step 2
Break white chocolate into small pieces. I used ready-made chocolate chips.
Step 3
In a saucepan combine coconut milk, salt, and gelatin. Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes to let the gelatin swell. The amount of gelatin affects the dessert’s firmness. For serving in cups, you can use less gelatin. For shaped desserts like mine, use the full recipe amount.
Step 4
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir, bringing the mixture to a boil but do not boil. The gelatin must fully dissolve. Remove from heat.
Step 5
Add the broken white chocolate into the saucepan. Whisk until the chocolate is fully melted.
Step 6
Pour the mixture into silicone molds or cups and refrigerate for 3-4 hours until fully set. If using silicone molds for shaped panna cotta, make sure it’s completely set before removing. Check consistency before unmolding.
Step 7
While panna cotta sets, prepare the sauce. I used red Sicilian oranges. You can use regular oranges, other citrus fruits, or any fruits/berries you like.
Step 8
Peel one orange and separate into segments. Remove the membranes from each segment. The video shows a quick way to do this.
Step 9
Juice the second orange.
Step 10
In a saucepan combine orange juice and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring, for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
Step 11
Remove from heat. Add vanilla and stir immediately. Cool the sauce.
Step 12
Place the set panna cotta from the silicone mold in the center of a plate.
Step 13
Pour orange sauce around and arrange fresh orange segments.
Step 14
Decorate the other portions the same way and serve, garnished with mint. Enjoy your meal!
