Preparation
Step 1
Start by preparing the ingredients and the sauce. You can use ready-made pizza sauce or ketchup, but homemade sauce tastes much better.
Step 2
Dice the bell pepper into small cubes.
Step 3
Finely chop the onion.
Step 4
Mince the garlic.
Step 5
In a skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Add the diced bell pepper and cook, stirring, for another 2 minutes.
Step 7
Stir in tomato paste.
Step 8
Pour in water, season with salt and pepper, and stir. Simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes. Add a pinch of sugar and a small amount of chili powder for mild heat.
Step 9
Transfer the sauce to a blender and blend until smooth. The sauce is ready.
Step 10
Now prepare the topping. You can also add other ingredients like ham, mushrooms, or olives to taste.
Step 11
Cut the bell pepper into thin rings.
Step 12
Slice the sausage into thin rounds. Smoked or semi-smoked sausage works best.
Step 13
Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds. Choose firm, juicy tomatoes that hold their shape well.
Step 14
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. You can use hard, semi-hard, or mozzarella-type cheese - the main thing is that it melts well.
Step 15
Slice the olives into rings, halves, or leave them whole.
Step 16
Thaw the puff yeast dough in advance. Store-bought dough is perfect for this quick pizza, but homemade dough can also be used.
Step 17
Dust the dough with flour and roll it out on parchment paper into a thin circle about 2-3 mm thick. Mark a 1 cm border around the edge and prick the center with a fork to prevent puffing.
Step 18
Spread the prepared sauce over the dough, staying within the marked border. Pre-bake the crust in a preheated 200°C (392°F) oven for about 5 minutes until slightly raised around the edges.
Step 19
Arrange the topping - sausage, tomatoes, bell peppers, and olives - on the crust. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake the pizza at 180°C (356°F) for another 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden. Enjoy your meal!
