Preparation
Step 1
How do you make classic Italian Bolognese sauce with minced meat? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use pork, beef, or mixed pork and beef mince. I will make it with pork mince. It is best if the mince has not been frozen. Peel the onion and rinse it in cold water. Wash the fresh basil and celery leaves. Instead of tomato paste, you can use tomatoes in their own juice.
Step 2
Place a suitably sized frying pan over the heat. While it is heating, finely chop the peeled onion and celery. Pour a little olive oil into the hot pan and add the chopped vegetables. Fry them, stirring from time to time, until golden.
Step 3
Then add the minced meat to the pan. Mix everything and fry until the mince is cooked through. This will take about 7-8 minutes. Do not forget to stir so the mince does not start to burn.
Step 4
Meanwhile, chop the garlic and basil.
Step 5
Then add the tomato paste, chopped garlic, and basil to the pan with the mince. Season lightly with salt and sprinkle with ground black pepper to taste. Pour in the dry red wine and mix everything well. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Step 6
Our sauce is ready. It should not be too runny. In texture it is more like a ragù. It should be served with pasta such as tagliatelle, penne, or fettuccine. But you can also use ordinary spaghetti. Boil the pasta until done according to the instructions on the package.
Step 7
Spoon the finished sauce over the spaghetti and sprinkle with grated cheese. Grated Parmesan is usually used for this sauce. Its distinctive taste harmonizes perfectly with the whole dish. Enjoy your meal!
