Preparation
Step 1
You can use boiled or oven-roasted beets. Store-bought vacuum-packed boiled beets save time.
Step 2
Wash chicken fillet and boil in salted water for about 20 minutes. Cool and dice. Alternatively, fry or bake in foil; smoked chicken can also be used.
Step 3
Boil beets in their skin until tender. Grate coarsely or medium.
Step 4
Boil carrots in their skin until tender. Grate coarsely or medium.
Step 5
Boil eggs, cool, peel, and grate. Optionally separate yolks and whites for separate layers.
Step 6
Grate cheese coarsely or medium.
Step 7
Wash and dry walnuts, then chop finely by hand or blender.
Step 8
Wash, dry, and finely chop dill. Parsley or other herbs can be used.
Step 9
For layering, place a culinary ring (16-18 cm diameter, or small rings 7-8 cm) on a plate. Add chicken and press down. Spread mayonnaise using a piping bag or spoon.
Step 10
Next layer: grated cheese and mayonnaise.
Step 11
Then grated eggs and mayonnaise.
Step 12
Next: carrots and mayonnaise.
Step 13
Then beets and mayonnaise.
Step 14
Sprinkle chopped dill over the beet layer.
Step 15
Place walnuts in the center, slightly away from edges to show the herbs. Refrigerate 1 hour for flavor melding.
Step 16
Remove the culinary ring before serving. Enjoy!
