Preparation
Step 1
How do you make classic French toast with egg for breakfast? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add the sugar and a pinch of salt. Salt is worth adding to make the flavor of the toast brighter, but this ingredient is not mandatory.
Step 2
Beat the mixture thoroughly with a fork or whisk until air bubbles appear. This step took me about 2 minutes.
Step 3
Pour the milk into the egg mixture and mix thoroughly again for about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Cut the white bread into portion-sized slices about 1.5 cm / about 2/3 inch thick. By the way, it is believed that if you use slightly dried day-old bread, the toast will turn out even tastier.
Step 5
Heat a pan over high heat. Then reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter in the pan. Dip the bread into the egg mixture on all sides and immediately place it in the pan to fry for 2–3 minutes.
Step 6
From time to time, lift the toast slightly and check the color. Since the egg mixture contains sugar, the toast can burn quickly if the heat is too high. Once the toast is browned, turn it over to the other side and fry for about 2 more minutes. Serve the toast hot. Enjoy!
