Step 1
First, prepare all ingredients needed for this original chocolate dessert with juicy, vitamin-rich cherries.

For the sugar syrup, take a suitable pan and place it on a heated stove. Add 100 g of sugar and stir while melting over medium heat.

Add 300 g of pitted fresh cherries (or frozen) to the caramelized sugar, then add 70 g of butter.

Mix well and let the cherries simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat. Transfer the cherries to a deep bowl and allow to cool slightly.

In a large bowl, crack one egg and beat until smooth. Add 100 ml of room-temperature milk and mix until uniform.

Add the cooled cherries with caramel syrup to the egg-milk mixture and mix thoroughly.

Sift 160 g of premium wheat flour and 20 g of cocoa powder into a fine sieve over the mixture.

Add 10 g of baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla sugar, and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Mix everything thoroughly.

Knead a uniform batter to the desired consistency. Grease a baking dish with 10 g of butter, then pour in the chocolate-cherry batter.

Spread the batter evenly in the dish and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C / 347 °F for 35 minutes, until fully cooked.

After 35 minutes, remove the cake from the oven, release from the pan, cut into portions, and serve.
