Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use boneless chicken breast or thigh fillet. Using boneless meat saves time.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken fillet, pat dry, and cut across the grain into slices about 1.2 inches (3 cm) thick. If your fillets are small, simply cut them in half. Gently pound each piece with a meat mallet on one side, being careful not to tear the meat - just flatten slightly so you can wrap cheese inside later.
Step 3
Cut the cheese into sticks about the same number as chicken pieces, not too long so they don’t stick out. You can use mozzarella, gouda, or any melting cheese you like.
Step 4
Mix breadcrumbs with dried garlic, turmeric, salt, and ground pepper. Stir well.

Sift the flour into a separate bowl.

Beat the eggs lightly with a fork.
Step 7
Place a stick of cheese onto each chicken slice.

Wrap the chicken tightly around the cheese to form nuggets, sealing all openings to prevent cheese from leaking out.

Dip each chicken roll in the beaten eggs (you may skip this step and go straight to flour if you prefer).

Coat each piece in flour.

Dip again into the eggs, then coat thoroughly in breadcrumbs on all sides.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. There should be enough oil to reach halfway up the nuggets. Fry on both sides until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side) or deep-fry in a small saucepan if you prefer.

Transfer the cooked nuggets to paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup, sweet and sour, or cheese sauce. Enjoy!
