Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
You can use other chicken parts instead of drumsticks, like chicken breast. Any fat content cream will work - I used 20%.
Step 2
Wash the chicken legs, then cut them into drumsticks and thighs, or leave whole if preferred.
Step 3
Peel the garlic cloves and make crosswise cuts in each clove.
Step 4
In a skillet over high heat, heat vegetable oil. Place the chicken pieces skin-side down. Season with salt and pepper, and fry for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Flip, season again, and fry the other side until browned. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 5
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté, stirring, for about 4 minutes.
Step 6
Lower the heat to low. Pour in the cream and water, add salt and hot pepper, and stir. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil.
Step 7
Return the chicken to the skillet.
Step 8
Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally. Time may vary based on chicken size, skillet type, and your stove.
Step 9
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
