How to make chicken fillet with mayonnaise and cheese? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients. If the chicken fillet is frozen, place it on the bottom shelf of the fridge and leave it there until fully thawed.

Slice the breasts into flat cutlets - this is easiest with a wide, sharp knife. Lightly pound the fillet; it’s most convenient to do this through plastic wrap so the meat doesn’t tear and splatters don’t fly. Season the pounded fillet with salt and pepper. If desired, add other favorite spices, but don’t let them overpower the taste of the chicken.

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and arrange the chicken fillet in a single layer. You can place it snugly - during cooking the pieces will shrink. Sprinkle chopped garlic over the top.

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the fillet.

Grate the cheese on a medium grater and sprinkle it over the chicken. You can use any cheese; the more flavorful it is, the more interesting the dish will be.

Put the dish into a hot oven and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180°C (356°F). The cheese should melt and turn nicely golden. Remove from the oven and serve right away with any side dish or simply with fresh vegetables.
