How do you stew chicken breast with mushrooms and cheese in a skillet? Prepare the ingredients. It is better to use chilled meat. If yours is frozen, thaw it first by moving it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Besides button mushrooms, you can use any other mushrooms: oyster mushrooms, chanterelles, porcini, or a mushroom mix, either fresh or frozen.

The cream for this recipe can be of any fat content, but remember that the higher the fat percentage of the products you use, the higher the calorie content of the dish will be. I used 20% cream. Pour the cream into a glass or cup and add the flour, curry, salt, and pepper.

Mix thoroughly until smooth, trying to break up all the flour lumps. If lumps still remain, you can strain the cream mixture through a sieve.
Step 4
Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese will work for this dish - hard, semi-hard, or soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it should be tasty, good quality, free from milk fat substitutes, and melt well. I used pizza mozzarella.
Step 5
Rinse the chicken breast, pat it dry, and slice it across the grain.

Wash the mushrooms, pat them dry, and cut them into slices.
Step 7
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the mushrooms until golden brown. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate.
Step 8
Place the chicken breast into the skillet where the mushrooms were fried. Cook it, stirring, until golden.
Step 9
Return the mushrooms to the skillet. Add the minced garlic, either finely chopped or pressed through a garlic press. Pour in the cream mixture. Mix everything thoroughly. Simmer the dish over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 10
Sprinkle the chicken and mushrooms with the grated cheese. Stir and simmer for another 5 minutes. The dish can be served with any side dish. Boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes, boiled rice, buckwheat, or pasta will all work well. Enjoy your meal!
