- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Take the puff pastry out of the freezer to thaw. Start preparing the fillings. First filling - mashed potatoes with onions: peel and finely dice the onion. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over low heat. Add onion and sauté for a few minutes until translucent.
Step 2
Wash, peel, and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 25 minutes, until soft. Drain and mash them.
Step 3
Add the fried onions to the mashed potatoes and mix well. The first filling is ready.
Step 4
Second filling - boiled eggs with green onions: boil the eggs hard, cool, and peel. Chop finely. Wash, dry, and chop the green onions. Mix with eggs, add salt, and combine.
Step 5
Third filling - boiled chicken breast: bring water to a boil, add chicken and salt, and simmer for about 30 minutes. Cool, debone, cut into small pieces, and season with pepper or spices to taste.
Step 6
Prepare crepes for layering: mix milk, vegetable oil, one egg white (keep the yolk for brushing), baking soda, salt, sugar, and flour. Whisk until smooth.
Step 7
Fry thin crepes on both sides in a hot pan. You’ll need three crepes.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F). Slightly roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut a circle a bit larger than the crepes.
Step 9
Begin assembling the pie. Place the mashed potatoes with onions as the first layer.
Step 10
Cover with a crepe and press lightly.
Step 11
Spread the egg and green onion mixture as the second layer.
Step 12
Place another crepe on top.
Step 13
Spread the boiled chicken as the third layer.
Step 14
Cover again with a crepe.
Step 15
Roll out the second piece of puff pastry to cover the pie completely. Place it over the top, trim the edges, and seal them. Use leftover dough for decorations. Brush with beaten egg yolk.
Step 16
Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C (355°F) for about 25 minutes, until golden. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your meal!
