Brown butter dumplings

A quick and comforting dumpling recipe with golden brown butter, melted cheese, and a hint of black pepper - ready in minutes.

Preparation
Step 1
You can use your favorite dumplings with any filling. Also, you can use tortellini or tortellini for this.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat and cook for 3-4 minutes, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter turns golden and develops a nutty aroma.
Step 3
At the same time, cook the dumplings in a saucepan of lightly salted boiling water, following the packet instructions. Once cooked, drain well, reserving a little of the cooking water, and transfer the dumplings to the pan with the butter.
Step 4
Add the grated cheese along with a small ladleful of the reserved cooking water. Toss everything together until the cheese has melted and the dumplings are evenly coated in a glossy sauce.
Step 5
Spoon the mixture into bowls and finish with an extra sprinkle of cheese and a generous grind of black pepper before serving.
