Preparation
Step 1
How do you cook broccoli with egg in a skillet? Prepare the necessary ingredients. It is best to use fresh broccoli. It should be bright green, and the florets should feel firm. If you are using frozen broccoli, thaw it in advance and drain off the excess liquid. Use large eggs. The vegetable oil can be any kind, from sunflower to olive oil, but it should be refined.
Step 2
Wash the broccoli thoroughly. The florets are quite small, so a lot of dirt can collect in them, so pay special attention when washing. Separate the broccoli into small florets and remove the thick stem.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and cook the broccoli florets in it for 2-3 minutes. If you like, you can add herbs or seasonings. Minced garlic, diced onion, ground paprika, dried dill, or thyme work very well.
Step 4
Crack the eggs into a bowl and stir them with a fork. You can also leave them unstirred if you want to keep the yolks whole.
Step 5
Salt the egg mixture. At this stage, you can also add pepper or dried herbs.
Step 6
Mix the egg mixture.
Step 7
Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli in the skillet and cook over low heat for about 10-12 minutes. If you like, you can cover the skillet with a lid. Cook until the eggs are fully set.
Step 8
Enjoy your meal!
