Preparation
Step 1
How do you make broccoli in the multicooker? Prepare all the ingredients. Choose broccoli with a bright green color; the heads should feel firm to the touch. You can also use frozen broccoli, but in that case it must be thawed properly: after taking it out of the freezer, place it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours and only then finish thawing it at room temperature. Then be sure to drain the released liquid and pat the broccoli florets slightly dry.
Step 2
Wash the broccoli well. The cabbage florets are rather small, and a lot of dirt can collect there. Remove the main stem and cut it into not very large florets.
Step 3
Take out the multicooker bowl and pour in the vegetable oil. The oil can be any kind, from corn oil to olive oil, but it must be refined, because only refined oils are suitable for heat treatment.
Step 4
Place the broccoli into the multicooker bowl as well. If you like, at this stage you can add any favorite herbs and seasonings to the dish. Some people may prefer just ground hot pepper, some may like the savory flavor of a garlic clove or garlic powder, and others may enjoy a pinch of herbes de Provence. Follow your taste.
Step 5
Lightly salt the broccoli. Turn on the “Stew” mode. As a rule, in standard multicookers the cooking time in this mode starts from 30 minutes. If your appliance model allows it, reduce it to 7–10 minutes. The broccoli should not turn into mush, but should retain as much of its goodness as possible. The time is approximate, as it will depend on the power and features of your multicooker.
Step 6
The wholesome side dish is ready. This broccoli turns out a bright green color, showing that it has retained as many nutrients as possible. Enjoy your meal!
