Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170C.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the cabbage with all the remaining ingredients, mixing well. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish.

Season generously with salt and pepper, then cover the dish tightly with foil.
Step 4
Bake for 1-1½ hours, stirring the ingredients together two or three times during cooking, until the cabbage is tender and full of flavor.
