Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Stir in the chilli powder, turmeric, mustard and salt, letting the spices sizzle for 1 minute.
Step 2
Add the potatoes and fry for about 4 minutes until coated with seeds and crisp at the edges, taking on a golden yellow hue.
Step 3
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 4
Serve immediately while hot.
