Berry Dessert

Yes, vitamins! Delicious and beautiful - impossible not to like! In this berry dessert, you can use any fruits or berries. For example, swap currants for strawberries or cherries. Replace cream with cottage cheese and yogurt whipped with sugar. Any cookies will work - chocolate or nut cookies are especially tasty.

Easy
Preparation
Step 1
For making a layered dessert with whipped cream and berries, you will need: heavy whipping cream (33-35% fat), sponge or sugar cookies, sugar, a mix of red and black currants (you can use just one type), and a mix of wild berries (blueberries, wild strawberries, raspberries, etc.).
Step 2
Wash, sort, and dry all berries or fruits. Do not mix currants with wild berries (blueberries, wild strawberries), as they will be used in different steps of the dessert preparation.
Step 3
Crush the cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this by hand or in a blender.
Step 4
Put the red and black currants into a blender along with half of the sugar (about 1.4 oz / 40 g).
Step 5
Blend the currants with sugar until smooth purée.
Step 6
Strain the berry purée through a sieve to remove seeds. This step is optional. I didn’t use to strain it, but this year I did, and I liked it much more - the dessert turns out smoother and more delicate. Currant seeds can be quite noticeable.
Step 7
Whip the chilled cream with the remaining sugar into a thick, fluffy mass.
Step 8
In dessert cups, place 2-3 tablespoons of whipped cream at the bottom. Add 2-3 tablespoons of cookie crumbs. Pour some currant purée over them. Then add half of the wild berries, followed by another layer of whipped cream. Top with the remaining wild berries. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Enjoy!
