Beans in Tomato Sauce with Ginger

Step 1
Let’s begin. Cut the onion into small pieces, grate the ginger, crush the cumin seeds, and squeeze the lemon juice.
Step 2
Now fry the onion in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients: garlic, grated ginger, and ground cumin. Fry for 2–3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the beans and tomato. Add a couple of pinches of sugar, plus salt and pepper to taste. Stew everything for 30–40 minutes, or until the beans are done.
Step 4
After 20 minutes, taste the dish. If the tomato does not have enough acidity, add lemon juice. I add 1 teaspoon. Then add the herbs and leave everything to cook for another 15 minutes.
