Preparation
Step 1
You can use any meat - chicken, turkey, pork, or beef. This marinade works especially well for chicken wings. I used pork chops on the bone. Tomato paste can be replaced with crushed fresh tomatoes or ketchup. Add extra spices if desired.
Step 2
Any type of honey works - floral, linden, buckwheat. The type of honey will affect the final flavor. If the honey is crystallized, melt it in the oven or microwave, then cool to room temperature.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, tomato paste, honey, black pepper, and salt. Stir thoroughly until smooth. Since soy sauce is salty, additional salt may not be necessary.
Step 4
Place the prepared meat in a bowl and pour over the marinade. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours, or ideally overnight.
Step 5
Cook the marinated meat on a preheated grill pan or BBQ rack until fully cooked, either indoors or over an open flame. Enjoy!
