Banana cocoa overnight oats

This make-ahead overnight oat jar with toasted hazelnuts, banana, and cocoa is a wholesome, satisfying breakfast that’s ready when you are.

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200C. Spread the oats and almonds on a baking tray and toast for 7 minutes until aromatic, or toast them in a frying pan if preferred. Let them cool completely.
Step 2
Roughly chop the almonds and place them in a jar with a lid. Add the cooled oats, pour in the milk and maple syrup, and layer the banana and sprinkle cocoa on top. Seal the jar and refrigerate overnight.
Step 3
In the morning, give it a stir and, if desired, add extra banana slices or almonds before serving.
