Banana Bread with Nuts and Chocolate
Quick to make, great for holidays, and very tasty. A classic American recipe - everyone’s favorite. You can eat banana bread like cake, or spread it with butter, jam, or fruit purée.

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Save a small piece of one banana for decorating. Mash the rest into a purée - I recommend leaving it slightly chunky so the texture is more interesting.
Step 3
Mix the melted butter with the sugar and the egg, then whisk until a light foam appears on top.
Step 4
Add the banana purée, finely chopped chocolate, and sour cream.
Step 5
Add half of the nuts (save the rest for decorating) and the vanilla extract.
Step 6
Sift in the flour, add the baking powder and salt, and mix everything well.
Step 7
Grease the pan with butter or line it with baking paper and fill it with the batter. Decorate with thin banana slices and small pieces of nuts. Bake for about 45 minutes at 180°C (356°F), then turn off the oven and leave the bread inside with the door slightly open for another 5-7 minutes.
