Preparation
Step 1
How do you make banana bread? Prepare the ingredients. Any bananas will work for this bake, but the riper they are, the more fragrant the loaf will be. Use refined, neutral oil. My eggs were size C1, and I took them out of the refrigerator in advance. Sift the flour together with the baking powder beforehand. Prepare a loaf pan or cake pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), because the batter comes together very quickly.
Step 2
Grease the chosen loaf pan with butter and dust it with flour. Shake out the excess flour and place the pan in the refrigerator. You can also use baking paper. If you are using a silicone pan, there is no need to grease it or line it with paper.
Step 3
Peel 2 bananas completely, removing the peel and any extra strings, and break them into a deep bowl. Add the eggs one at a time. Mash the bananas with a fork and mix them with the eggs.
Step 4
Add the regular sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix the ingredients together.
Step 5
Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the bowl, and mix the batter until the ingredients are just combined. Do not mix the batter for too long. It is important to sift the flour so it fills with air. Then the bake will be airy and will rise well in the oven.
Step 6
Take the baking pan out of the refrigerator and pour in the prepared batter. Gently shake the pan so the batter spreads more evenly. Peel the remaining banana and cut it lengthwise into 2 halves. Place the halves cut side up directly on top of the batter; you may press them in slightly. Put the pan with the banana bread into the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer. It should come out dry from the center of the loaf.
Step 7
Remove the finished banana bread from the oven and let it cool. Then take it out of the pan and cut it into portions. This fragrant loaf, similar to a cake, is perfect for breakfast with a cup of tea or coffee, or for an afternoon snack with a glass of milk. Enjoy your meal!
