Baked plums with mascarpone

A simple yet indulgent warm dessert combining juicy baked plums, crunchy meringue, and creamy mascarpone, finished with a crisp golden topping.

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200C.
Step 2
Slice the plums in half, remove the stones, and arrange them cut side up in a heat proof baking dish.
Step 3
Crumble the meringues over the plums, allowing plenty of pieces to fall into the centre of the fruit. Add spoonfuls of mascarpone on top of the plums and meringue, then sprinkle everything with sugar.
Step 4
Transfer the dish to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the plums are soft and a golden crust has formed on top.
Step 5
Serve warm for a comforting, sweet treat.
