Preparation
Step 1
Choose sweet but firm pears such as Conference. Use high-quality, natural, flavorful cheese - the taste of the whole dish depends on it. As for the nuts, you can use walnuts, hazelnuts, or pecans (not only pine nuts). Use liquid honey.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 392°F (200°C) right away, as the preparation will be quick. Wash the pears thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut them in half and use a small spoon with a thin edge to scoop out the core and seeds. Make a fairly deep hollow to fit in the cheese.
Step 3
Cut the Camembert into small cubes.
Step 4
Take a baking dish suitable for oven use. Place the pear halves inside. Fill the hollowed centers with cheese cubes.
Step 5
Sprinkle the pears with chopped nuts on top. If the nuts are large, chop them beforehand.
Step 6
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. The exact time depends on the variety of pears and your oven. Focus on the cheese - it should be fully melted. Take out the pears, let them cool slightly, and drizzle with honey. If the honey is thick, melt it in a water bath.
Step 7
Serve the baked pears warm. Enjoy your meal!
