Baked Chicken Patties

Very healthy, diet-friendly, and also tender and juicy! Baked chicken patties are prepared without pre-frying, bread, or added fat. Yet they remain perfectly moist thanks to ground oats in the mixture. This dish is also suitable for those following a high-protein diet.

Easy
About 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
It’s best to use chicken breast fillet because it’s lean, but you can use any other fillet. Any type of oats will work - quick-cooking or long-cooking. Sweet varieties of onions are better as they’re milder in taste.
Step 2
Peel the onion and cut it into large pieces. Adjust the amount to your taste.
Step 3
Rinse the chicken meat and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut it into large cubes as well.
Step 4
To make the mince, use a food processor, meat grinder, or blender. I’m using a food processor’s chopper attachment. First, chop the onion.
Step 5
Then add the chicken fillet pieces and salt to the chopped onion. Process everything together until it becomes a fine mince.
Step 6
Pour the oats into the bowl of the food processor and add the egg white. Blend the mince until completely smooth, about 2 minutes. Chill the prepared mince in the refrigerator for half an hour. During this time, the oats will swell and absorb the moisture, making the patties juicy. I also added a bit of extra water to the mixture for even more juiciness.
Step 7
Take a suitable baking dish. Pour a couple of tablespoons of water into the bottom. Lay a piece of parchment paper on top and press it down well. The water and parchment will prevent the patties from sticking without using oil. Wet your hands and shape small round patties. Place them in the dish. Sprinkle the tops with sweet ground paprika - it will add both flavor and a beautiful color to the finished dish.
Step 8
Bake the patties in a preheated oven at 180°C (about 355°F) for 20-30 minutes, depending on their size and how your oven bakes.
Step 9
Serve the patties hot with fresh vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
