Baked Carrot Patties
Wholesome, juicy, and appetizing, perfect for breakfast or a snack. Baked carrot patties are a vegetable dish suited to those who follow a healthy diet or watch their food choices. Since they are baked in the oven, they are a lighter option than pan-fried patties. These patties will appeal not only to adults, but also to children.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake carrot patties in the oven? Prepare the ingredients. Wash the carrots thoroughly with a brush under running water. You can use ready-made breadcrumbs or make your own. To do that, dry bread or a loaf in the oven and grind it into fine crumbs in any convenient way. Milk of any fat content will work.
Step 2
Peel the carrots and grate them on a fine grater.
Step 3
In a skillet of suitable size, melt the butter over low heat and add the prepared carrots. Cook the carrots over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Step 4
Pour the milk into the skillet, add a little salt, and stir. Cook the carrots until soft. Cover the skillet with a lid and do not forget to stir so the carrots cook evenly.
Step 5
When the carrots become soft, sprinkle the semolina over the entire surface. Mix the carrot mixture thoroughly so that no semolina lumps form. Adding semolina will make the carrot mixture more cohesive, and the finished patties will be more filling.
Step 6
Cook the carrot mixture over low heat, stirring, until the semolina swells and the mixture thickens slightly.
Step 7
Let the carrots cool. To speed up the cooling, you can transfer the mixture to another bowl.
Step 8
In a small deep bowl, beat the egg with a fork until smooth.
Step 9
Add the beaten egg to the cooled carrot mixture. Mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Step 10
You will get a thick, cohesive mixture. It barely sticks to your hands, so shaping the patties will be easy.
Step 11
Shape the carrot mixture into patties of your desired size. Pour the breadcrumbs onto a flat plate with low sides. Coat each patty in breadcrumbs on both sides. The coating will help create a crisp crust.
Step 12
Grease a baking sheet with butter or vegetable oil. Arrange the formed patties on it.
Step 13
Bake the carrot patties in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. The exact cooking time will depend on your oven.
Step 14
Serve the carrot patties warm or cooled as a dish on their own. They can be served with sour cream, milk sauce, or cream sauce. Enjoy your meal!
