Preparation
Step 1
How do you cook apple and jam fruit drink in a pot? Prepare the ingredients. Rinse the apples well under running water, dry them, and cut into 4 parts. Remove the cores. Cut the apples into small slices, place them in the prepared pot, and cover with clean water. Put the pot over heat and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Cook the apples for about 5 minutes over medium heat, without covering the pot. Then add any jam to the pot with the apples.
Step 3
For this drink, it is best to use jam that has enough syrup and fruit pulp that is not overcooked; otherwise, you will need to strain the drink very thoroughly to make it clear. This time I made the drink with strawberry jam. Mine had whole berries in it. If you use different types of jam, you can get a new flavor each time. Add a little citric acid.
Step 4
This is needed so the drink is not overly sweet. Citric acid balances the flavor. Taste it. If the drink is not sweet enough, add a little sugar. Bring everything to a boil and remove from the heat. The fruit drink made from older jam is ready. Cover the pot with a lid and let it stand for about 15 minutes.
Step 5
Strain the finished drink through a sieve and pour it into a carafe. It is good both warm and chilled. Enjoy!
