Preparation
Step 1
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic with a pinch of salt and gently fry for 2-3 minutes, just until it begins to turn golden.

Sprinkle in the dried herbs and cook for a few more seconds, then pour in the cream. Let it come to a gentle simmer, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
Step 3
Once the cream begins to simmer, stir in the grated Parmesan until fully melted and the sauce becomes thick and smooth. Season generously with freshly cracked black pepper and additional salt to taste.
Step 4
The sauce is now ready to be used in your chosen dish. Alternatively, let it cool and transfer to an airtight container to refrigerate for up to 2 days. For a fresh finish, you can stir in some chopped parsley just before serving.
